Medical Tattooing Clapham London

AENEA Clapham, London, has teamed with highly trained and professional specialists to offer you the latest and very best in medical tattooing. Our external practitioners will provide you with a full consultation prior to a treatment and a £50 deposit is required prior to your appointment to secure the booking.

Working from the extensive worldwide training of Medicos, our team of practitioners will make you feel at ease knowing you are in the hands of the top professionals within the industry.

Medical tattooing is used to disguise, reconstruct and improve areas of concern within the body that may have occurred due to medical reasons, such as disguising scars and white spots in the skin, for example vitiligo, or to restore and enhance the breasts areola after breast surgery.

  • Nipple Areola Complex Camouflage – treating a damaged or missing Areola or Nipple. Adding layers of colour and redefining a shape or even a 3-D nipple, our Medicos trained team will use the closest colour match to your skin tone. Micro pigmentation can also be used to help disguise breast reconstruction scars.
  • Scar and stretchmark treatment – whether they have been caused by trauma, an accident or surgery, white scars can be a concern for our guests. By using a technique called MCA, our treatment can be used to help camouflage scars and will be performed over a number of sessions. It is the most preferred method of camouflage tattooing.
  • Skin grafts and Burns – For treatment after a skin graft has been performed, our practitioner will carefully add matched Colour pigments, in a mosaic effect, tattooed to create the most natural look possible.
  • Scalp Camouflage and Stubble – designed to work on smaller areas rather than larger, scalp and stubble camouflage uses a process of adding pigment by recreating follicles or drawing on hair strokes to affected areas to replicate the existence of hair.
  • Cleft lip – creating asymmetry, definition for a more natural looking top lip. Repositioning the cupids bow to the center of the lips can create a dramatic change with an immediate result after the first procedure.

What colour will the tattoo fade to?
The colour that the pigment will fade to, or how long it will take to fade completely is unpredictable. For this reason, we ensure our practitioners will always advise you fully of the aftercare needed and that the shape and result is personal to you, rather than just following fashion trends.

How is the pigment semi-permanent?
Micro-pigments are used throughout our procedures and therefore, because they lack size they also lack density of colour, so the colour fades quicker. How deep or shallow the pigment is implanted will also have an effect on the longevity. It’s good to remember that implanting pigment into scar tissue is more difficult.

Will it hurt?
Numbing creams will be used to make the process more bearable as the face is more sensitive. Using smaller needles also causes less damage to the skin, meaning less pain with quicker healing time.

What happens after the treatment?
The area tattooed may be a little swollen or red, the pigment will also appear darker and more intense for several days as the area heals. Complete healing can take 2-4 weeks, during this time the pigment will mature into the skin and its true colour will emerge. A top-up procedure will be needed after 4 weeks.
