Ellipse, have teamed with Aenea Clapham, London, to offer IPL Skin Therapy.
Get your skin confidence back with our range of expert IPL Skin Therapy Treatments. We understand that facial skin issues can run much further than just skin deep that’s why we offer non-surgical treatments to get you feeling like you again.
IPL Skin Therapy treatments can address skin concerns with more advanced results than just a hands on facial. From acne scarring, skin irregularities, red veins, age spots, hyperpigmentation, or the effects of aging, our highly skilled therapists can help to correct and prevent these skin concerns whilst brightening and plumping the skin, to bring it back to its best.
The Ellipse selective waveband technology treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper layers of the skin. The light is absorbed into the body’s own natural chemicals such as Hemoglobin in the red blood cells. The light energy is converted into heat and this heat is used to destroy the target without damaging the surrounding tissue.
A safe and non-invasive way to rejuvenate and improve signs of premature ageing. The visible appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dull, tired skin and loss of tone and texture can be targeted and improved within this treatment. Treating the Face, Neck and Chest, the IPL treatment works by warming the skin and boosting collagen production (the building blocks of the skin). Your results will be smoother, plumper skin that has even tone and firmness and visibly reduced fine lines and wrinkles.
Uneven pigmentation on the skin can be caused by several factors such as exposure to sunlight or UV rays (sunspots/freckles), hormonal changes affected by pregnancy, the contraceptive pill or menopause, thyroid problems, or post-inflammatory pigmentation (damage to the skin such as acne scarring). Uneven skin tone can be improved visibly by using the IPL Skin Rejuvenation system. The system works by emitting a beam of light that is absorbed by the darker areas of the skin. As the dark spots are penetrated by the light, the pigmentation is broken down and dispersed and encouraging it to lift to the skins surface. Over the course of your treatments the darkness will gradually lighten as your skin cells rejuvenate and renew.
Designed to heal spots, reduce breakouts and decongest the skin IPL Acne Clearance works by flooding the skin with Oxygen and eliminating acne-causing bacteria that lives within the pores. This treatment is perfect for guests concerned with congested pores, blackheads, spots and excess sebum production. With the ability to treat the face, chest and back, IPL is also proven to be extremely effective on moderate inflammatory acne.
Red thread veins usually appear across the nose and cheeks and can be caused by several factors such as heat, sun or UV exposure, alcohol, hormonal changes and in some cases it can be hereditary. The treatment works by emitting light onto the area of concern, the light will convert to heat and damage the blood vessel walls which are supplying the area with oxygen. This results in the targeted veins shrinking and disappearing. The result is even skin tone with less visible thread veins and damage.

How many treatments will I need?
With all of the IPL Skin Therapy treatments you will notice an improvement after just one session. However, we recommend a course of treatments so that your concern can be fully addressed and corrected. A minimum course of 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart, for each of the focuses is recommended. Your practitioner will advise on the right programme.
Will it hurt?
IPL Skin Therapy is safe and efficient. It is a comfortable treatment and the only sensation you should feel is a burst of warmth on the skin. The settings with our Ellipse machine allow us to use pre-programmed settings for different skin types and concerns which means the treatment is comfortable for you.
What precautions are needed?
You need to avoid any tanning from direct sunlight or tanning beds for a month before your consultation and first initial treatment. Tanning throughout the course of your treatment also needs to be avoided to ensure your safety. Immediately after the treatment the skin is particularly sensitive to UV light so a sunscreen of a least 30 spf must be used.
The Ellipse IPL Machine has pre-programmed treatment suggestions for different skin and hair types thus allowing the energy levels to be adjusted for the client’s individual needs so as to avoid any adverse reactions and ensure success of the treatment.
Photo Rejuvenation – Who can be treated?
The photo rejuvenation treatment is based on light absorption for maximum results. Treatments are most efficient in guests with light skin, darker pigmentation and no tan on the skin. The unique Ellipse software is pre-programmed for different skin tones and adjusts the energy output to match the requirements of the client’s skin.
What sort of results can I expect?
Depending on the focus that will meet your concerns, the results will be based on the treatment required. However, you will notice from all of the services that the skin will appear clearer, more even, plump and firmer.
How do I get started?
We offer a FREE consultation and patch test with our skilled expert to ensure your suitability for the service. If you have any more questions your therapist will be able to guide you in more depth.
